What is the O-1A Visa?
This visa is for individuals who have extraordinary abilities in areas such as science, education, business or athletics.
To be eligible for the O-1A visa, an applicant must demonstrate excellence or prominence in their field through awards, substantial public recognition, participation in high-level activities, and other relevant achievements.
The O-1A visa is usually sponsored by an employer in the US who is willing to hire the candidate to perform a specific job that relates to his or her extraordinary abilities.
The O-1A visa is generally granted for an initial period of up to three years, with the possibility of extensions, and spouses and minor children of O-1A visa holders may be eligible for the O-3 companion visa.
